He has been dancing for over 15 years, in everything from Ballroom Dancing, Salsa, Lindy Hop, and of course, his main dance passion West Coast Swing. Anjelika has been teaching dance since she was just 13 and has been dancing a whole lot longer than that. Since being entranced by the world of dance at just 3 years old, she has continuously added to her vast knowledge of dance and performance to include an impressive collection of styles, genres and techniques.
She has worked with students of all ages in a variety of environments as a Performer, Choreographer, Teacher, Mentor, Director and Manager.
Anjelika is an enthusiastic teacher who conveys a stimulating combination of professionalism and warmth. Working within an encouraging and supportive environment, students will learn new skills and techniques whilst being encouraged to develop their own personalities, creativity and style to be expressed through their dance.
Whether her students just want to move their bodies or are aspiring for a career in the arts Anjelika has a strong belief that dance is about participation, opportunity and exploration.

Jill started dancing in 2010 at 24 years old, and hasn’t aged since. She has since trained in Modern Jive, Zouk, and Ballet which explains her smooth and vibrant West Coast Swing style. Jill has been dancing West Coast Swing since 2014, and has competed in national championships, representing Swing City in Strictly, Jack and Jill, Classic, Pro-am and Team divisions.
Jill understands the physical and emotional journey when starting dance as an adult, and enjoys seeing these dancers discover new movements and gain confidence to express their personality and emotions through their dancing. The Swing City dance floor is a non-judgemental space for expression, joy and respect for everyone, which Jill consistently demonstrates through her teaching and dancing.
Scott has been dancing Swing since 2004, first attracted to it through Lindy Hop by his love of Jazz music. He picked up West Coast Swing in 2015 and fell in love with it.
When he isn’t dancing West Coast Swing, he’ll be out dancing Blues, Ballroom, Lindy Hop, Kizomba and numerous other solo styles such as Popping.
He feels that the connection in dance is paramount and his goal is to encourage that in dance on a human level.

With many years of Modern Jive training behind her, Jacqui fell in love with the challenges and creativity of West Coast Swing. Eager to share this dance with others, she co-founded a community and dance school in her home town in New Zealand.
Jacqui believes the most effective way to learn is through laughter and the use of relatable every day analogies. Jacqui brings out the best in her students by creating a comfortable atmosphere where students are challenged with new techniques and taught how to channel them into individual creativity and self-expression.
Jacqui values the importance of supporting developing WCS communities, both local and international, in order to enrich the dance journey of others. She brings to Swing City her passion for building positive communities and a fun learning environment for her students and the wider community.
